Want to know a little more about Colette? Here’s what she has to tell us about herself and her crafty endeavors:
I started
making jewelry back in 2004 while I was unemployed. I saw a craft
show on TV one day, and decided it would be nice for me to learn the
basics and make myself some earrings... and the rest is history. I get
inspired by anything, like an iron gate, a design on a tile or a piece
of fabric, or flowers. I just try to translate it into jewelry.
Right now, I am home with my 18 month-old son and my 7 year-old
daughter. This keeps me quite busy, so whenever I have time, I try to
create something.
I
can't pick a favorite piece of jewelry, but one that I am particularly
proud of is my woven dorje pendant. I had this idea for a while but was
not quite sure how to make it come to life. Then, one day, everything
clicked and my version of the dorje was born. I am hoping that one day I will have great success with my Etsy shop and my jewelry in general. That would be another accomplishment for me.
